Port Authority is seeking a Software Development Analyst to develop, test, maintain and support the company’s Internet and Intranet applications and sites, enhance communication, and reduce redundancy within the company.

Essential Functions

• Update and maintain existing Internet and intranet web applications and services which can include .NET and SQL. • Design, develop, document test and debug new software and web applications, web services and software systems and/or applications. • Participate in software design meetings and analyze needs to determine technical requirements. • Provide application, system and process improvement recommendations to management.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED. • Associates or higher degree in Computer Science or related field. Related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis. • Experience with software development languages such as web apps, desktop, mobile, service integrations using software development lifecycle. • Effective and professional communication skills. • Experience with Windows desktop and/or server environments

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with .NET, HTML, XML, jQuery/JavaScript and CSS and SQL. • Experience with IIS web services, SSL, application deployment and server management and configuration using a VMware environment. • Experience with MVC. • Experience with responsive web design. • Experience with Visual Studio. • Experience with .NET Core. • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint & O365 development, including workflows. • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server. • Experience with TFS, GIT or other source control systems.
